BABY IN CELEBRATION OF
THE STRENGTH IN LITTLE ONES.
AND SO WHAT CAN PARENTS DO?
BECAUSE, OF COURSE, PARENTS
WANT THEIR KIDS TO BE STRONG,
BUT THEY'RE THINKING, WELL,
SHOULD I HAVE THEM TRIED TO SET
UP TO WHAT?
WELL, THE GOOD THING IS THAT
KIDS THROUGH PLAY ARE GOING
TO FIND THEIR RELATIONSHIP
WITH MOVEMENT.
I THINK JUST CREATING
THE CAPACITY FOR PLAY IN
OUR HOUSEHOLD, ENCOURAGING.
MY HUSBAND, MY HUSBAND AND I
HAVE KITCHEN DANCE PARTIES.
AND SO, LIKE, THAT'S
OUR MOVEMENT.
RIGHT.
AND THEY'RE BABIES ESPECIALLY
ARE INNATELY THEY'RE CRAWLING.
THEY'RE SQUATTING, THEY'RE
LEARNING TO WALK FOR THE FIRST
TIME.
AND THAT WAS WHEN I REALLY WAS
ENTHRALLED WITH ATHENA'S INNATE
ATHLETICISM, HONESTLY.
SO WE DON'T HAVE TO HAVE
A SPECIFIC TRAINING PROGRAM OR
CALL IT ANY KIND OF THING.
THAT'S FANCY.
IT REALLY IS JUST GIVING THEM
THE FREEDOM TO TO MOVE.

FOR MOM, FOR SOMEBODY WHO'S
PREGNANT AND STILL WANTING
TO PUSH A LIMIT, BUT NOT GO TOO
FAR ?
WELL, MOVEMENT HAS BEEN SHOWN
TO BE VERY BENEFICIAL FOR
MOTHER AND BABY.
OF COURSE, YOU WANT TO SPEAK
TO YOUR MEDICAL PROVIDER
AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU'RE
YOU'RE OKAY WITH THAT.
BUT I CONTINUED TO TEACH
CYCLING AT PELLETIZED AND TO
RUN AND STRENGTH TRAIN
AND THOSE WERE ALL ACTIVITIES
I WAS DOING PRE PREGNANCY.
AND , YOU KNOW, OF COURSE,
SOME MODIFICATIONS ARE
PRUDENCE, BUT WE CAN DO A LOT
MORE THAN WE CAN'T DO.
SO MY WHOLE PHILOSOPHY WHILE
BEING PREGNANT NOW I'M PREGNANT
WITH MY SECOND IS FOCUSING
ON WHAT I'M CAPABLE OF RATHER
THAN LIMITATION.

AND HOW IS THAT COME ABOUT
AND HOW DO YOU USE THAT TO TO

IT FOR ME.
IT GAVE ME THE SENSE OF I .

THE CATALYST FROM BEING
POWERLESS TO POWERFUL.

HOW DAILY HOW I TURN PAIN INTO
POWER.
AND HOPEFULLY IT'S NOT OFTEN
ROOTED IN TRAUMA, BUT TO THE
EXTENT THAT WE HAVE STUMBLES,
I THINK THAT MOVEMENT IS A
GREAT WAY TO CHANNEL THE STUFF
THAT'S HAPPENING IN LIFE.
AND ESPECIALLY AS A PARENT,
I BELIEVE THAT MY MENTAL HEALTH
IS IS BETTER AND HEALTHIER
BECAUSE I HAVE DAILY WORKOUT
PRACTICE.
AND HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW?
BECAUSE YOU'VE ALREADY HAD
A TWO YEAR OLD, A BABY TO COME
THIS SUMMER.
BUT THIS IS KIND OF LIKE GIVING
BIRTH IN A WAY TO TO GIVE BIRTH
TO THIS PROJECT INTO INTO
EXISTENCE.
WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE THAT YOU
WANTED TO DO CHILDREN'S BOOKS?
YOU KNOW, THE OPPORTUNITY CAME

START FROM DAY ONE ?

TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY HAVE
THE POWER AND YOU TALK ABOUT
THOSE MANTRAS LIKE NO
CHALLENGE, NO CHALLENGE, THAT
KIND OF THING.
