I JUST NEEDED TO SEE THAT OTHER PEERS WERE LIKE ME AND THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ENOUGH. >> Reporter: DAN HAS SPENT MORE THAN 20 YEARS RUNNING SUMMER CAMPS AND RECOGNIZED THE NEED FOR A CAMP LIKE THIS SIX YEARS AGO. >> WE GOT A CALL FROM A FAMILY WHOSE KID WAS NOT ALLOWED TO GO TO A SUMMER CAMP THAT THEY HAD ORIGINALLY CHOSEN. HE IS A TRANSGENDER KID AND THEY DID NOT WANT HIM COMING TO CAMP. THEY CALLED US AND WE SAID, SURE. >> Reporter: LGBTQ PLUS CAMPERS SUPPORTED BY A FULLY LGBTQ PLUS STAFF OF COUNSELORS.
