WHEN I WAS IN COLLEGE INITIALLY,
I CAME IN UNDECIDED.
I WAS TAKING AN ELECTIVE COURSE
BY AN EDUCATOR PROFESSOR.
HE WAS ABLE TO FIND OUT THAT I
WAS ALSO DOING MUSIC.
HE WAS SUPER INSPIRED BY IT AND
KIND OF NUDGED FOR ME TO TAKE
THAT ROUTE OF EDUCATION AND USE
THAT AS A TOOL TO CONNECT WITH
STUDENTS.
I THINK IT WAS A COUPLE YEARS
AGO, I WAS WRITING A SONG, AND A
LOT OF THE SONG HAD TO DO WITH
THE MATERIAL THAT I HAD JUST
BEEN RECENTLY TEACHING.

KIND OF WHAT MEDICINE ME WANT TO
BE AN EDUCATOR.
I WAS ADOPTED AROUND 8 MONTHS
FROM COLOMBIA.
MY FAMILY HAS BEEN SUPER
SUPPORTIVE MY WHOLE LIFE,
LETTING ME FOLLOW DIFFERENT
AVENUES AND BE INSPIRED.
WE HAD JUST MOVED TO CROZET, I
WAS WALKING ACROSS THE ROAD,
THERE WAS A BURNT CD, I CAME
BACK AND IT WAS A MIX OF TUPAC
AND NAS.
SINCE THEN, I'VE ALWAYS BEEN
REALLY DRAWN AND INSPIRED BY RAP
MUSIC.
