WOMAN: Here's how to make a smashed cucumber halloumi salad that's perfect for summer. Smashing the cucumbers will help create nooks and crannies for all the dressing to absorb into and create flavor. Use a rolling pin or the back of a large knife to really break up the cucumber. And then chop it up into bit-sized pieces. Add some salt to draw out the moisture. And then drain that water before you add the dressing. Slice up your green onions and set aside. Add oil to a skillet. And while that heats, slice the halloumi into sticks. Sear them on all the flat sides until they're golden and crispy. Next make the sauce by combining tahini and hot water. Grate in fresh ginger, chili oil, soy sauce, and lime to taste. [MUSIC PLAYING] Pour everything over the cucumbers. And top with green onions and halloumi, serve, and enjoy. [MUSIC PLAYING]
