- This smoothie will give you is a ton of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber, which will nourish you and give you that sustained energy, which will last throughout your morning into your day. So we're going to make a big batch here, which, again, will last a few days. So to make a full batch we're going to start with 2 cups of water. And the next part of our smoothie is all these beautiful greens here. And the classic recipe has spinach, Romaine lettuce, and celery. You do want about 70% of your smoothie to be greens. We're going to do a first blend to break that down. And now that greens are blended, we're going to add in our fruit. So the classic recipe has apple, pear, and banana. Banana is always a great idea, a nice, ripe banana to give it that nice, delicious smoothie texture. And one thing that we always want to add in is lemon because of the brightness and the extra vitamin C in the lemon itself. Now we're going to do a second and final blend with the fruit in it. So it's amazing how fast and easy you can start to make the glowing green smoothie once you get into that rhythm. And again, you don't have to make it every day. You can make it every two or even three days, as long as you keep it covered and cold in the fridge. So here is a serving, which is approximately 16 ounces. And guess what? It's absolutely delicious.
