Transcript for This huli huli chicken is perfect for your summer bbq
- What's up, everybody? My name's Maciek with Grillin with Dad. And today, I'm going to show you how I make my Hawaiian-style huli huli chicken. For this recipe, I'm going to be using boneless, skinless chicken thighs.
We're going to prep the marinade first-- 1 cup each of ketchup, soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, some minced ginger. Mix all this together, and pour most of it over your chicken, reserving about a third for basting later. Pop this in the fridge for a few hours to marinate. And when ready, those chicken thighs hit the grill directly over high heat. And we're going to flip every couple minutes to build up that flavor, that crust on the outside and start to baste with our reserved marinade.
And this thing was smelling absolutely amazing. I'm also grilling up a couple pineapple slices also basted with the marinade. And when this chicken was done, it was looking and smelling great. You get these charred little pieces on the edges. Top it all off with some green onion. And it was delicious, ready to go. Follow me @grillin_with_dad for more tasty recipes.
