Transcript for Women’s March Madness Final Four is set
- We turn now to March Madness, Robin. I know you're watching this one closely. Caitlin Clark-- the Women's Final Four is set. Two top teams are still dancing, including powerhouse South Carolina. Will Reeve is here with the highlights. Hey, Will.
- Good morning, Rebecca. The Final Four is set, and we are heading to Dallas. Dawn Staley's South Carolina Gamecocks-- they just keep on dominating. They've won every game by double digits, and with an 11-point win over Maryland last night, they punched their ticket to Texas. They look to keep their undefeated season and repeat title hopes alive. Now waiting for them will be two-seed Iowa. And as Rebecca mentioned, all-world superstar Caitlin Clark-- she dropped a 41-point triple-double in the Elite Eight.
Now on the other side of the bracket, it's LSU and Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech into its first-ever Final Four-- they beat Ohio State last night thanks in large part to Elizabeth Kitley. She had 25 points and 12 rebounds. How about that stat line?
This will be the seventh time in the past 10 Final Fours with a first-time participant. The NCAA Women's Final Four tips off from Dallas Friday night. You can catch both of those games on Friday night on ESPN and on the app. We're almost there.
- And LSU-- in only Kim Mulkey's second season in Baton Rouge.
- Very exceptional.
- She has them in the Final Four, coming from Baylor. Yeah. Thank you, Will.
